Shropshire Way

We are very proud to be involved in a new joint initiative with Shropshire Council in supporting 12 Podcasts covering points of interest along the Shropshire Way.

The Shropshire Way is a way marked long distance path covering 139 miles, taking in many areas of the county’s areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

The Podcasts at the moment only cover South Shropshire but the plan is for them to cover the entire route. Each Podcast lasts about three minutes and gives the listener a short insight into the history, geography and geology of the scenery that can be seen at that point.

The Shropshire Way starts in the south of the county on the edge of the Wyre Forest going through Cleobury Mortimer to Ludlow. The route then passes through the Shropshire Hills to Shrewsbury and then on into the north of the County to Grinshill, Clive and Wem, finishing at Grindley Brook.

On the southern part of the route, circular walks have been added to give walkers the opportunity to walk the route in stages.
